Sherine Khatoun is of Iraqi and Yemini descent, born and raised in NYC. Sherine's passion for dance is rooted in her heritage, primarily influenced by her Arabic vocalist mother. Sherine Khatoun is a proud dance member of New York's Arabic music and dance ensemble, Zikrayat. She also collaborates with The Dalia Carella Dance Collective, a theatrical and contemporary world dance fusion company. Sherine has been honored to dance in several concerts with the internationally acclaimed musical group, Alabina. Sherine was contracted by Atlantic Records (Latin division), as a choreographer and dancer for Latin pop singer, Luisa Payan, in 1999. Sherine has performed for many family occasions, corporate events, festivals, music concerts, and dance theater shows. Her dancing has been featured on BET, Univision, FOX, NY1, music video (Coco Brothers,) and Jump magazine. She holds a B.A. from Hunter College, majoring in Dance. Her dance training includes various styles, lending to Sherine's versatility.
