Dania McDonald, Harpist, is an Atlanta native and has performed in and around the Southeast for more than ** years. Well known as an accomplished orchestral player as well as a freelance artist, she is affiliated with many professional orchestras. She has performed numerous times with the Atlanta Symphony, Knoxville Symphony, Macon Symphony and Columbus Symphony, among many others. Additionally, she served as Principal Harpist of the Northern Kentucky Symphony and Cincinnati Philharmonic Orchestras both as an ensemble player and a featured soloist.
Dania received a Bachelor's Degree in Harp Performance from the University of Georgia and pursued Graduate Studies at the Cincinnati College Conservatory of Music in Ohio. She is a member of the American String Teacher's Association, the American Federation of Musicians and the American Harp Society.
Dania has freelanced extensively, developing a highly expressive style with playlist to please every generation. Her performances can include anything from "Rhapsody on a Theme of Paganini" to "Moon River" to "Beauty and the Beast".
She has performed with artists such as Bernadette Peters, Suzy Boggus, John Berry and for well known locals such as Zell Miller and the President of the University of Georgia, Michael Adams.
Dania works both as a soloist and as part of a duo with flute, violin or voice. She performs for weddings, receptions, corporate parties and many other events.
