With Sabaya performing at an event, audiences of all ages will enjoy fabulous costumes, traditional music, energetic drum solos, beautifully floating veils, amazing balanced sword dances, a mesmerizing light show, spectacular flying wings or traditional cane dances. Sabaya belly dancers will make any dinner party, birthday, night club, bridal shower, wedding, Bar or Bat Mitzvah, theme party, corporate function, university event, fashion show, theater production and television appearance unforgettable! Our dance is family friendly, so no bachelor parties, please.
Rates are dependent on several factors, including: length of performance, number of sets, total amount of time at event, costume changes, location of event, travel expenses (outside of Austin, Texas, ***** area code), and number of dancers.
Our Dancers
Founding members of Sabaya are Lily, Maribel, Rania, Stacey Lizette, and Yasmin. Together, they have traveled to Egypt to study privately with Aida Nour, Randa Kamel, Yasmina of Cairo, as well as Magda and Atef, the chief choreographers of the Reda Folkloric Troupe.
In America, Sabaya has primarily studied with Aziza and Suhaila Salimpour. Each member is Level * certified in the Suhaila Salimpour Bellydance format, with some dancers certified at Level * and Level *.
Recent achievements include dancing at the Dallas Fine Art Museum's "King Tutankhamun and the Golden Age of the Pharaoh's" exhibit, opening for Egyptian dance legend Aida Nour at the Little Egypt Festival, the International Music & Dance Festival, the Austin SXSW VIP Film party, and the Global Harmony Concerts to promote world peace and music.
