Dancesport VA is located on the border of Norfolk and Virginia Beach, with two beautiful raised maple dance floors, a *,*** square foot main ballroom, and a *,*** square foot junior ballroom.
We offer group classes, private lessons, regular practice time and social dance parties with both Dj and live music. During the year we have two showcases for our students to perform in and we even have exciting studio trips to competitions!
Group Classes are a great way to meet new people, have fun and learn new moves. We always offer a variety of styles every day of the week to fit anyones schedule!
Answers to Frequently Asked Questions About Our Dance Lessons
- All Private Lessons are by appointment and can be scheduled outside of normal business hours within reason.
- You do not have to have a Partner.
- If you take private lessons with any of our teachers you may come in during business hours and practice.
- If you are new to DanceSport or have never taken private lessons with us your first lesson is a free */* hour private class.
- In the free lesson and the introductory special you set the pace. You will learn about the general aspects of social dancing and if you have any specific dances you would like to learn you simply let the teacher know!
- We are a non contract studio, although we do offer lesson packages that come with free group classes and parties, but if you prefer you may just pay as you go.
- Dress is casual, you should try and wear shoes that have a smooth bottom such as leather.

Dancesport VA offers a full retail center with shoes, music, videos, books, costumes, jewelry, accessories, & practice wear.
Remember if you want to learn fast and understand the technique to become a really good dancer, you must take private instruction where you will receive personal attention and one-on-one instruction!
