All members hold advanced degrees in the study, composition and performance of Music and are active members of the local music scene. From teaching at area high schools and universities, playing local events and private parties, and playing and recording with renowned artists, the Big Chill Band is a group of skilled, dedicated, professional Musicians. Members of the Big Chill have played with artists such as Aretha Franklin, The Four Tops, The Temptations, President Bill Clinton, Willie Nelson, Celine Dion, Grover Washington Jr., Chuck Mangione, and the Philly Pops. In addition they have been playing and recording together as a group for over ten years. The Big Chill offers covers in Motown, Classic and Modern Rock, Pop, Disco, Funk Jazz, Swing, and Original Music.

Each tune played is specifically arranged for The Big Chill to feature our artists' strong points with the sax, piano, and guitar. Sound
The actual sound of The Big Chill is impeccably clean and precise. This starts with each individual's control over their own instrument (horns, vocals, rhythm). It increases in quality with the customized instruments we are playing, and the finishing touches come from the high quality sound system that amplifies the music.

Volume
We are aware of the fact that you do not have to have a loud band to have a good time. In fact, most of the time too much volume can ruin the atmosphere of an event. We know there are many different age groups that attend private parties, so we play music that will please everyone. The types of music to be played at an event are always determined by the host.
