Artist Sara Shai has been in the fashion industry since ****. Her unique continental flair of styles emerges in her fashion design. Her love for the feminine form is expressed in her art and fashion.

She has owned three boutiques in Los Angeles. Her stores were known for their unique styles and her attention to service and individuality, always assisting her customers in coordinating an outfit with accessories.

The Los Angeles Daily News wrote, "The owner of Sara's Fashion is an artist and a sculptor whose eclectic eye carries over into her selection of clothing and accessories."

Her first boutique was on Robertson Boulevard in Beverly Hills, in ****. At that boutique, she first introduced her talent to her customers by coordinating colors and styles. As she believes, the right accessories can make or break an outfit. Coordination of the right scarves, shawls, belts, and pulling together the right color combination is essential for your unique and trendy look.

Later on, in ****, she opened a large outlet store, Sara's Designer Outlet, on Sherman Way in the center of the San Fernando Valley. In this store, she had a bigger playground to offer a great variety of styles.

The Los Angeles Times wrote, "The concentration at Sara's Designer Outlet is on career clothes and after-five apparel. If you notice a European flair in the designs, that's probably because the owner, Sara Shai, spent several years in Europe absorbing the European influence in art and fashion."

In ****, she opened and operated an additional boutique in Toluca Lake on Riverside Drive. The local Tolucan newspaper wrote about Sara. "Her work, either on canvas, [clay or fabric], is absolutely beautiful! Intensely compelling and thought-provoking, yet eerily flowing and peaceful, and usually in the graceful form of humans. She told me 'I love people and I have always explored their emotions and inner behavior...' A warm, stylish, friendly woman, Sara's artistic flair is also apparent in her personal choices of fashion in her boutique. She offers classy, feminine, designer clothing and accessories at 'HOW DOES SHE DO IT?' prices (her secret)."

The following year, Sara's Fashion had another location in Woodland Hills, on Ventura Boulevard, to serve her clients in the West Valley.

Since owning her stores, she has continued to design and create her own line of fashion accessories. Her love for soft, drapey fabric emerges in her designs of wraps, shawls and scarves. Her passion to create began at an early age. She imparts her rich spirituality through all her work. She carves in stone, paints in oil and acrylic and, of course, she designs unique styles.

Sara was raised in Israel and has lived in Los Angeles, California since ****. Her life's work has included motherhood, teaching, journalism, sculpture, painting, carving, poetry, literature, business ownership and fashion design.

She says, "Art is the language of the soul. Its creative force has the power to heal, alter lives and fulfill destinies. When I finish a piece of art I feel as if I join in God's work. It is the peak of fulfillment, the ultimate ecstasy. Every creation is a new and glorious birth, and I am only the instrument to deliver and share its beauty. This inward journey is extremely rejuvenating. When we unleash our creative forces, we free ourselves to become whole."

Sara says, "I have an instinctive need to express myself. To communicate and remain silent, to allow my art to speak in the face of my challenges is a marvelous feeling, as I believe that our biggest enemy is our fear. I had to overcome the self-doubt one step at a time and claim my right to be how I am in the face of my own hesitation and sabotage. As I did so there was a flood of possibilities as the creative juices began to work to emerge and illuminate my universe."
