A Walk in the Woods is an environmental education company that brings fun and exciting live animal programs to parties, events and schools. Each program offers an excellent opportunity for children to interact with animals and touch a wide variety of hands-on artifacts making any event, an unforgettable experience. Children love seeing our animals!

Hosting a program is a unique way to nurture a child's interest in nature with an experience they will always remember. We have programs on Reptiles, Sea Turtles, Insects, Tropical Rainforests, Coral Reefs and Sharks, Wetlands, Bats, Snakes, NC Wildlife and more! Each fact filled program has its own live animals and hands-on artifacts with many items that are rare and endangered from the US Fish and Wildlife Service. We want children to discover nature by using their senses!

A Walk in the Woods is the only company solely dedicated to providing outreach environmental education programs in the North Carolina Piedmont and upper regions of South Carolina. Our experienced Naturalists have introduced thousands of children to a wide variety of animals while teaching them about diverse ecosystems in a safe learning environment. Best of all, we travel to your location making it easy to schedule an exciting animal program for your site.
