Adhok Music is an ad hoc collaboration of musicians organized by guitarist Adam Hancock. We perform live music for parties and events in Northern California-mainly in the Bay Area, Sacramento, Lake Tahoe, and Napa Valley.
We offer a combination of superb musicianship and wonderful flexibility, including Hawaiian, guitar jazz, and classic Americana in our repertoire. If you're planning a wedding, a birthday celebration, or a reception with live music, we'll work with you to create exactly the event you're looking for. We can tailor the music to your tastes and the atmosphere you're looking for, taking into consideration the venue, the available space, the number of guests, and of course, your budget.

Classic Americana
Inspired by great musicians like Johnny Cash, Willie Nelson, Buck Owens, Merle Haggard, Danny Gatton, and Junior Brown, we like to play with some dirt under our fingernails. On the play list you'll find popular songs like Folsom Prison Blues, Good Hearted Woman, Under Your Spell Again, and Whiskey River, as well as some more obscure tunes and originals.
Adhok instrumental and vocal combos can perform as a duo, trio, or quartet, including various combinations of guitar, bass, drums, and lap steel.

Hula Jazz is a catch-all of island styles ranging from classic Hawaiian (traditional songs like Mai Kai No Kuai and Na Lei O Hawai'i), to hapa haole music made popular in the '30s, '40s, and '50s (with tunes like Blue Hawaii, Hanalei Moon, and Beyond the Reef), to Beatles and Willie Nelson favorites (Here Comes the Sun, Blackbird, and Crazy). Our play list even includes some of our own original hula and western swing music.
On our play list you'll find jazz standards like Autumn Leaves and Beautiful Love, as well as Honeysuckle Rose and I'll Be Seeing You.
As eclectic as the United States of America, our version of classic Americana and country twang has something for everybody traditional country, western swing, country fried chicken pickin, and alternative country rock.
