Car! Quikdraw Tucker

Carl Quikdraw Tucker was born in Washington, D.C. He is a talented artist who became interested in drawing when his uncle sat him down, and showed him how to draw cartoon faces when he around the age of 7. Interestingly, Carles from a family of artist who helped nuture and inspire his artistic abilities to perfection.
While Carl was in elementary school, a classmate introduced him to an artist who later became Carl's admired and respected mentor. This mentor taught Carl advanced drawing techniques and helped him significantly improve his way ofmunicating with art. During Carl's Middle School years, teachers recognized his artistic potential and used his artistic talent for many school projects. In fact, he received numerous artistic awards, and one teacher advised him that he should develop his artistic aptitude further at the prestigious Duke Ellington School of the Arts located in Washington, D.C.
Carl obtained a summer youth job at the Sign of the Times Cultural Art Center in Wash., D.C. While employed there, he received meticulous training in several art methodologies such as watercolor painting, silk screening, pastel chalk drawing, and pencil portrait drawing from professional artists. In addition, he received a second place award in a drawing/painting contest that was sponsored by Sign of the Times Cultural Arts Center.
After graduating from Duke Ellington School of the Arts, Carl decided to specialize in portraiture drawing and various other artistic skills. He performs at art parties, weddings, and special events. Carl has used his artistic talents at amusement parks. Carl has performed such duty at Six Flags America that's located in Prince Georges County Maryland. At this park, Carl has created like portraitures of guess from around the world. Carl has. also serve as a non-permanent tattoo artist at this park also. Carl enjoys drawing cartoon and realistic illustrations of people and animals as well. Currently, Carl works with standard pencils, color pencils, markers, beads, yarn, and other artistic mediums. Unlike many artist today, Carl does not use digital imaging or projectors to assist him in creating his artwork. His hand-crafted artistic abilities are truly an original development of his knowledge, skills, and talents.
Carl is still continuing to evolve as an artist and believes he has not reached his full potential. A lot of his time is spent practicing, experimenting, studying, and challenging himself. Carl has received art instructions at the Art League located in Old Town Alexandria, VA as well. In addition, Carl has taken his artistic skills to a whole new level by enrolling in a Visualmunication Associate degree program at Gibbs College.
Carl has received an award from the mayor of Brentwood, MD in November 2004 for an illustration drawing of the Brentwood Town Center. This drawing was displayed in the Brentwood Town Hall as an aesthetic feature of the building.
Carl takes great pride in his work, and he is eager to create drawing illustrations for you. Carl can serve as an artist at Weddings, (Kids) Parties, and Special Events.
