We are a wedding and portrait photography studio and our mission is to create top quality photographs and turn them into memories that last forever. We service Scranton/Wilkes Barre, Hawley, Honesdale, The Poconos, Port Jervis, Northern NJ and the Hudson River Valley of NY.
BKG Photography is an on location wedding and portrait photography studio specializing in wedding and family photography. We capture your special moments and convert them into beautiful photographic prints, available in full color or black and white. Each session and every photograph are unique to your needs.
Although my studio is new, photography has been my hobby/passion/obsession for about 15 years. I started out with a Canon Elan IIe film camera and some no name zoom lens. I immediately fell in love with photography and I had to read every photography book I could get my hands on. Soon after I took some photography classes in college. The classes were great, but I needed more. I started assisting/second shooting for a couple of photographers on Long Island. This brought invaluable experience and helped me to shape my style of photography.
My philosophy for photographing your wedding is simple: My style offers a mix of traditional portraiture and candid photo journalism. This means taking a little bit of your day for formal wedding shots then blending into the background and capturing moments that you might never have been aware of. Your wedding day shouldn't be all about the photography, but about you and your partner having a great time enjoying your wedding day. I believe that I, as the photographer, should adapt to your style and expectations not the other way around. I want to tell the story of your day the way you would like it told.
