Floral Preservations

Our speciality of preserving wedding bouquets grew from our 14 year, interior decorating business - home stagings by cris, llc. We set up model homes and homes on the market for Realtors and made our own silk and dried floral arrangements.

Three years ago, I was fortunate enough to see a Martha Stewart television segment on floral preservation. There, a woman from New York who uses this same natural technique to preserve flowers, gave a demonstration of the process.

For some reason, this just fascinated me and I had to try it! I was hooked!

Although extremely time-consuming, I so enjoyed the process. I experimented with every type of flower I could find and after refining the technique over time, we are now getting the results we're seeing today.

Our flowers look fresh, not dried and faded (see comparison photo in this album). The goal is that they will easily be mistaken for fresh. Otherwise, they turn into potpourri! Soon, we moved from a basement bedroom shop to our current space -- a 700 sf showroom/studio and I decided to specialize in this floral preservation, particularly with bridal bouquets to see if I could fill a niche.

We certainly seem to have been able to do just that and I'm most grateful for the success we've enjoyed since making this decision. This is clearly my purpose and passion and my 24/7 dedication.

As a commercial out there goes, "if there's a better business to be in, I'd like to know about it!"
