Tony has been drawing caricatures at private parties, corporate events and festivals for over 21 years. He has been ranked as one of the best black and white caricature artists in the world by the National Caricaturist Network, having won second place in the Best Black and White technique category in their 2001 International competition and convention.

Tony prefers to draw his caricatures complimentary, instead of insulting or cruel. He is also a fine art portrait artist, so his caricatures tend to be more life-like, but with a lighthearted sense of humor.

"I don't try to provoke, demean or insult with my caricatures. Even though there is a place for the more extreme styles of caricature, at parties and events it is my job to make sure everyone has a great time, whether they are being drawn or watching me draw. I want the person to save and even cherish the drawing, not hide it in the closet. In the end, I want the person to smile at what they see."

What is a caricature? Basically, a caricature is a pictorial representation in which the subject's distinctive features are deliberately exaggerated to produce a comical effect. In other words, a caricature is a humorously exaggerated likeness of a person made by emphasizing all of the features that make that person recognizable.
