Wee to Cumberland Trail Stables!
Opened in 2005, Cumberland Trail Stables is a full service boarding facility located in Pataskala, Ohio. We have a good amount of frontage and many trails behind to ride on. Your horses will be given a lot of attention by the owner and staff. There is always a friendly face, or horse, around to greet you when you arrive!
If you are looking for a good place to be around fellow horse lovers, this is the right place for you.
We are located on National Road, just one half mile east of Watkins Road at 7700 National Road S.W. on the old Cumberland Stage Coach and Western Movement Trail.
Cumberland Trail Stables is also an active farm with hay bailing. Boarders are wee to help in our agricultural work in exchange for an individual garden space of their own.
Meet Paul
Paul was born and raised in Licking County. After graduation from Watkins Memorial High School, Paul went on to join the Marines in the 5th Marine division, where he earned 3 Purple Hearts while serving in Vietnam. After the service, Paul joined the Columbus Police force and served for 25 years. He was wounded several times while on the force.
Paul started farming in 1976. He farmed most of what is now Cumberland Trail Stables and the surrounding properties.
Paul purchased his first horse in 1985 and his love for these beautiful creatures has grown ever since. He opened Cumberland Trail Stables in 2005. Among his first boarders were neighbors who watched the barn being built and offered their help.
Paul is in partnership with the C3 Church in Pickerington Ohio.
