About Deidre
Deidre began playing the celtic harp when she was 15 after playing the piano since age 5. She played throughout Northern Illinois and Southern Wisconsin for plays, festivals, and special events.
Deidre studied pedal harp at the University of Southern California's Thorton School of Music under JoAnn Turovsky. After graduating, she returned to the celtic harp and has played weddings and events all over the greater Los Angeles area.
In 2008, Deidre joined Kerry Records for their Irish Christmas tour of California and again in 2009 for their St. Patrick's Day Hooley.
In addition, Deidre has been featured in both Hallmark and Chevymercials with her harp. She has performed with Mary J. Blige, Barbara Streisand, David Munnelly, Kieran Munnelly, and Katherine Keane.
Weddings and Special Events
The angelic sound of the harp adds the perfect touch of elegance to your most special day. Wedding ceremonies include 30 minutes of pre ceremony music, the bridal party processional, the bridal processional, any music during the ceremony (optional), and the recessional music. Wedding ceremonies have a flat rate of $250, but depending on exactly what is needed, prices are negotiable. Wedding cocktail/dinner hours are also the perfect time to add a harp to the mix. For background music at the cocktail/dinner hour(s), the charge is $100/hr. For non wedding events, the charge is also $100/hr.
Duos and Trios
The harp sounds wonderful paired with any instrument or group. If you would like more instruments in addition to the harp, please inquire! Duos are available with guitarist Patrick Rieger or violinist Kristen Agee. An Irish Trio is avaliable with bodhran and guitar from Patrick Rieger and accordionist John McKenna. Rates vary
