Helios Photography is the collaboration of two Twin Cities artists whose complimentary specialties and training has made their pairing as inevitable as it has been rewarding. The wedding photography industry abounds with photographers and the robotic proxies they dispatch to document your wedding. Helios does not subscribe to this school of grave facsimiles. We strive to be more patient, more observant and, most importantly, more inconspicous - thus allowing each moment to develop organically.

Britta Johanson
Britta Johanson earned her B.A. in studio art with an emphasis in photography from The College of St. Catherine, Saint Paul, Minnesota. With an interest in the human face as medium for the soul's reflection, she has pursued her photographic quarry kindly, yet determinedly. Her technical knowledge has made her a sought-after portraitist. She enjoys archery. In her spare time she destroys outdated archetypes.

Benny Moreno
As an ambitious Photography student at the College of Visual Arts in Saint Paul, Benny Moreno once entertained some lofty notions of shooting for National Geographic, but after his first wedding over a decade ago, he was hooked. "The beauty of wedding photography," according to Benny, " is the intimate and profound connection a wedding client has with the image - it's a connection that is impossible to establish with any other piece of art." In addition to photographing weddings, Benny enjoys dome hockey and a well-made bloody mary while golfing.
