From the moment he first acquired a camera, Jay Lawrence Goldman fell in love with the art and science of photography. With his relaxed style Jay found he had a natural inclination to put his subjects at ease. His professional pictures were of young New York City actors and musicians approaching stardom. Now Jay’s subject matter has extended to weddings, editorial and advertising assignments, Hollywood PR shoots, European architecture and digital fine art.

In 1999, Jay opened his own photography and digital design studio, JLG Photo, located in Los Angeles’ trendy Fairfax district. Since then he’s photographed special events for such notables as Billy Crystal, Wolfgang Puck, Fox Television President Sandy Grushow, Jeffrey Katzenberg, and actress Stacey Dash, as well as gone on assignment for MTV, House & Garden TV, Red Wagon Entertainment, RKO Pictures, and Dreamworks, SKG. His wedding clients include, among others, actress Erika Eleniak and her fitness guru husband Phil Goglia, actress Vivica A. Fox and her singer husband Christopher Harvest, actress and model Cindy Margolis, actress Brooke Shields, tennis pro Andre Agassi, Snoop Dog, actress Janet Gunn, Nextel CEO Craig McCaw and hotel entrepreneur Steven Wynn. Jay’s work has appeared in Town & Country, Spa Magazine, Pop Star and Soap Operas In Depth.

Jay now specializes in portraits, headshots, weddings and corporate advertising photography, but his new passion in digital photography had also made Jay highly skilled in digital design and Adobe Photoshop. Already Jay has won several awards for morphing his images from their natural state into something completely fresh and unusual.
