Richard first became interested in magic at the age of six, and learned the hard way, after breaking a few of his mother's valuable ceramics trying to vanish them, that magic requires a lot of practice. At the age of sixteen Richard performed his first 'show' for kids in the neighborhood and that was when the show biz bug bit him.
A few months later, a trip to a local magic shop on long island changed his life forever. At the counter there was a group of kids wanting to see some tricks demonstrated, but the manager, who had limited knowledge of magic, couldn't show them. Richard just started picking things up and demonstrating them and generated about $300.00 in sales. The owner was extremely impressed with what he had done and began to mentor him. From that point, there was no looking back.
Through the years, Richard has had a lot of great experiences that have had a huge impact on his career and his life. He has performed for groups of all sizes, has met and shared ideas with world famous magicians, and had the great fortune to be mentored by an amazing magician, Ron Diamond.
During his career he also taught magic to children, helping them build self esteem, social skills, and motor skills and has given lectures on such topics as Character Development and The Art Of Entertaining Children.
