Moxie brings skill, flair, and dazzle to your events!
She started studying Middle Eastern dance in 1998, and is trained in Cabaret, Tribal, and Tribal Fusion bellydance styles. She has most recently been certified through the prestigious Tribal Massive Dance Intensive program, and attends classes and workshops throughout the year for further refinement and inspiration. Moxie started in theater at the tender age of seven, and worked at the Bristol Renaissance Faire for two years, so she is very expressive andfortable with audience interaction.
She loves dancing to nontraditional music, so she can bring a rock & roll, jazzy, or burlesque-y influence to performances. She also loves classical music so she will gladly dance to traditional Middle Eastern or Middle Eastern pop. She is confident with a variety of props including veil, fan veil, cane, and sword. Her approach to props is to actually dance with them rather than standing around and displaying them. She is glad to stylize performances to fit your requests.
Moxie is a strong, flexible, athletic dancer as well. She began practicing yoga in 1990, and in 2011, took the Yoga Teacher Training Program at TriBalance Yoga Center. She feels that yoga makes her a strong dancer and a strong person, enabling her to fully connect with others.
Moxie performs at events like weddings, birthday parties, retirement parties, corporate events, and more. She loves to arrange workshop parties for bridal showers, bachelorette parties, birthday parties, and girls' nights out. Bellydance is a wonderful, empowering way to get fit and have fun. A mini-lesson (or full lesson!) for all your guests is a great way to bond, loosen up, and have an outrageously good time.
