I'm a potter in Indianapolis. I have a small business teaching clay classes at area schools, churches, parks, and YMCAs. I also enjoy creating my own work, and hope to continue to be a part of art shows around Indiana. Please feel free to contact me if you'd like to learn more about the classes I offer. Working with clay has been a wonderful experience in my life that I love sharing with others.
Create a project on and off the pottery wheel. (2 projects each child) Project pieces can be chosen before the class. Hand-built picture frames, plates, snowman, penguins, turtles, frogs and birdfeeders. Items to do on the pottery wheel include bowls, plates, candle holders, mugs and christmas trees. Pick one from each group if you would like the 2 project program. Pick one hand-built project if you would like the 1 project program. I can average 15 children an hour on the pottery wheel. Average workshop is 11/2 hours for groups of 10-15. Add 1 hour for every 15 children in the workshop. We can do one project or 2 per child. The pottery wheel is always a favorite and would be the 2 project program, which allows the kids to stay busy at all times.
