String Quartets

  As the official graduate string quartet of the University of Utah School of Music, we perform publicly in themunity, privately for special events, andpetitively in chamber musicpetitions around the globe. Our members include Jakob Hofer on violin, Melissabe on violin, Sunny Johnson on the viola, and Lauren Posey on the Cello.While we are newly-established, its members have had an abundance of string quartet training and experience. They have received instruction from the renowned Brentano String Quartet and the Fry Street String Quartet and individually with members of the Takacz Quartet, Doric Quartet, Biava Quartet, and Miro Quartet. Because we continue to receive musical instruction at the highest level with Dr. Hasse Borup as our primary coach, we offer music that will make you want to hear more.   Drawing from experience at the Juilliard Summer Music Academy, Aspen Music Festival, Garth Newel Music Festival, Encore School for Strings, and National Repertory Orchestra, we are well-equipped to produce lively and memorable performances of the finest and most beloved string quartet repertoire.   Because we play an active part of ourmunity as our priority, we are more than willing to play at your desired event at any time of your choice. Because we have been involved in several regional orchestras in the United States, including the orchestra at Temple Square, the London Symphony in Virginia, and the York Symphony in Pennsylvania, we will provide amazing music to your wedding or other desired event. We continue to perform in many capacities in the Salt Lake City area, including several outreach concerts each year.   Currently performing the Carl Neilsen String Quartet No. 3, we do not hesitate to stay active in our performance.   Because of our consistency in our performance, we have won the T. Gordon Parks Collegiate Memorialpetition with the Arapahoe Philharmonic, the Oquirrh Mountain Concertopetition, and many otherpetitions.   Contact us to book a reservation.
