Skilled in performing on the Great Highland Bagpipe of Scotland, Sue can add a unique musical touch to your next gathering.
Known for its plaintive sound, the bagpipe is a staple at both military and civilian funeral services. In the hands of an experienced piper such as Sue, however, it can also provide an upbeat, festive flair for celebrations such as weddings, birthdays and anniversaries.
Bagpipes are a beautiful instrument that can set an exciting and memorable mood at your wedding. Their rich sound is great for outdoor ceremonies because it doesn't require a sound system. Pipe music carries wonderfully indoors as well, whether in a large cathedral or a small, intimate chapel.
For nearly 20 years Sue has been playing the Highland Bagpipes. A USAFR retired bagpiper; she has performed for schools, church functions, sporting events, military events, and many weddings and memorials. She will give you a professional performance, working with you to provide exactly the entertainment you desire. While flexible about musical selections, please be aware that the 9 note scale of the bagpipes limits the option of many contemporary pieces.
Wedding fees start at $200 for a 25-30 minute performance. Reception services may be added for an additional fee.
Sue also offers beginning piper lessons, and can direct you to local vendors who carry the items necessary to start your education.
Let Sue bring the warm and mellow sound of the bagpipes to your next function.
