As the only dance band in the area, we pay tribute to the Big Band sound with horns and 20 years of performance experience in regional, local and international venues. Our repertoire's expansive assortment caters to the listening preferences of every family, every generation, and every event. Precise professionalism and exciting energy are reputations that the Stage Door Canteen takes with them everywhere they go, from the ritzy hotels of Cape Cod to Liam Maguire's Irish Pub, even going so far as to play at Ireland's most famous jazz venue, The Sugar Club. Most Stage Door musicians have degrees in music and all are polished players of their instruments.

Stage Door Canteen specializes in big band era hits from the likes of Benny Goodman, Duke Ellington & Billie Holiday, but never hesitates to get guests grooving with hits like Van Morrison, Motown, Earth Wind & Fire, and the ever classic, Stevie Wonder. Pat yourself on the back as you watch your party guests dance down the street on their way home after a wonderfully satisfying wedding, reception, bar mitzvah, or birthday!

We provide numerous opportunities to customize the group of musicians you plan to hire for that event, from all 12 professionals, to smaller groups of 2 - 7. Our brass quartet will make you feel like royalty and the woodwind duet will set a natural, breezy atmosphere. Try some traditional Irish music and hire a DJ too!
