Puppet Shows

Children are very receptive to activities that trigger their imagination. Puppet shows and communicating through puppets is a wonderful way to tap into your child's cognitive processes and encourage learning, laughter, and creativity. Gail McKay is a certified teacher with a master's degree in education and has been teaching and performing for well over 20 years. Her program, "Using Puppets to Teach Curriculum", is an approved workshop by the Division of Child Development in North Carolina.

Storytelling w/ Puppets
Watch as Gail tells original stories to young audiences or reads fairy tale classics of old, using her lively puppets and giving a professionally fun performance. Depending on location and audience size, Gail offers 45 minute puppet shows with music and stage settings for around $225. She's happy to cater to birthday parties with 30 minutes of storytelling and 30 minutes of puppet workshop for only $185. For combo shows and workshops for schools or larger gatherings, her services start at $250.

Communication Education
Gail utilizes her training in education and psychology, as well as her years of experience as a teacher, to educate, communicate, and entertain young children in social, cognitive, and literacy skills to better their speech, language, and communicating abilities. She focuses on each child individually, tending to their unique needs and taking professional behavioral approaches. With a master's in education of the deaf and a bachelor's in education of the developmentally delayed, Gail is passionate about the education of every child and puts her own education to very good use.

Academic Tutoring
Public and homeschoolers alike love having Gail around to aid in their studies of language arts and reading comprehension. She's also very helpful in opening a child's eyes to the logic of math and number concepts, and always enhances daily lessons with her individualized games, movements, art activities, and puppets.
