Steel Drum Players

If you are looking for interesting and unique musical entertainment for your wedding, birthday, anniversary, grand opening, festival, corporate event, theme party or other occasion, I offer 10 years experience with the steel drum playing live events. I am a born and raised Trini, of Trinidad and Tobago, of which I have inherited the name The Singing Panman. Ever since I heard the first note played by a Steel Drum, or Steelpan, it has resonated with me and became my passion. My inspiration and knowledge has sprung from contemporary greats as Khuent Rose, Leon Foster Thomas, and Freddy Harris III, as I played aside them. My steel drum and I are available for bookings as a solo artist, duet, or three to six member band. I can present you with musical productions of various genres from Reggae, Calypso, Smooth Jazz, and Bossa Nova to Jimmy Buffet, Latin, Pop and Patriotic. I joined the Florida Memorial Steel Band at FMU under the watchful eye of Dr. Dawn Batson. For two years, I led the tenor section of the Florida Memorial Steel Ensemble, which won the World Steelband Festival in 2000. I am a featured soloist on the FMSB album Live from Old School Square and Turn Your Lights Down Low. I have participated in a  Live TV performance on Telemundo&rsquo s ILevá ntate! program,  PBS program Artstreet Miami ,  Globo TVs  Estrelas! , and the  Univision program ISabado Gigante! .
