LOCAL PHOTOGRAHER HONORED IN STATE COMPETITION
LOCAL PHOTOGRAPHER Rose Hendershot of Photographic Memory in Hastings was honored in statewide competition at Dearborn Inn, Dearborn, Michigan. The convention was held April 1st through 5th, 2005
The convention drew approximately 300 of the state’s top professional photographers in various fields, including portraiture, wedding, scenic and commercial photography as well as electronic imaging.
“The competition was demanding with some of the best artistic talent in the country represented at the Michigan convention. Winning in print competition here is a great personal achievement”, commented Greg Ockerman MSA PPM President. Rose Hendershot took home awards for all 6 of her prints: Forgotten Glory (a 1938 Ford truck found in Barry County), Moody River, Swan Lake, Amber Glow, Storm Watch and Bridge Over Troubled Water. Two of these images, Bridge Over Troubled Water and Swan Lake, will go on to the National Convention this summer to complete her national recognition.
The four-day convention also featured several seminars by nationally acclaimed photographers and a trade show of the latest products and technology in the field of photography.
