Delbahar is a professional Middle Eastern dancer whose performance style has been described as joyful, musical and graceful. She loves connecting with an audience and expressing her passion for Middle Eastern music.
Delbahar was trained in classical and neo-classical ballet and was a company member of the Miami City Ballet. She has studied a variety of dance traditions including modern ( Muller technique), Afro-Haitian and Afro-Brazilian dance.
Her first Middle Eastern dance teacher was the magical Dorit, whose style has greatly influenced and inspired her. Since then, she has studied with some of the most prominent teachers of Middle Eastern Dance in New York City, including Serena Wilson, Ranya Renee, Dalia Carella, Gamila El Masri, Yousry Sharif and Nourhan Sharif. She has also taken workshops with Egyptian legends Machmoud Reda and Aida Nour.
Delbahar has performed in many New York restaurants and venues, including Mezzo Mezzo, Le Souk, Lafayette Bar and Grill, Le Figaro, the former Maia Meyhane, Jour et Nuit and the Fairuz Cafe. She has also performed at numerous private parties.
