How should we serve the food? What types of food should we serve?

The food you serve and how you serve it depends on the size of your guest list, your budget, and how formal you want your party to be. Some couples choose to celebrate their anniversary at a nice restaurant that they like or if possible, the restaurant they went to on their first date. In that case, the food is already taken care of. If you choose to celebrate at your home or another venue then your options are hiring a caterer, cooking/barbequing yourselves, or having a potluck. Cooking everything yourself or having a potluck are the less expensive options, but hiring a caterer is also nice because it means one less thing you have to worry about. Serve foods that you and your spouse enjoy, even dishes that hold a special meaning for you both. Your guests probably aren’t expecting a gourmet meal so serve foods that are easy to make and tasty to eat such as finger foods including burgers, hot dogs, grilled chicken, salad, potato salad, tacos, pasta, and mini sandwiches. And don’t forget about the anniversary cake!
