Originally from the San Francisco Bay Area, I relocated to LA when I began my career as a professional makeup artist. I am fortunate to have many friends and family who reside in the Bay Area, which allows me to work out of San Francisco and Los Angeles. I graduated from college with a B.A. in Education and upon receiving my degree I took some time off from school and traveled as much as possible. My love for adventure and new experiences took me to Europe and all over the U.S. I was able to live in Chicago and New York before I decided to return to college and receive my elementary teaching certificate. My background in education has been a great asset in my career as a makeup artist. I really enjoy talking with my clients about skin care, makeup, color theory, etc. and passing on the knowledge I have gained.
WEDDINGS
My career in bridal makeup artistry was set in motion when I found myself helping those close to me prepare for their special day. When I was working with my closest friends I saw they were at ease because they knew I would be there to help them look their best. Helping them remove some of the stress about their big day was the impetus I needed to seek out formal training in makeup artistry. I am a trained makeup artist through Empire Academy of Makeup where I learned various techniques and was able to refine my talent, which makes me a valuable asset when brides are determining who to choose as their makeup artist for their wedding day.
I love working closely with you, the bride, to achieve your desired look. Your makeup is a reflection of your personality and style, and I enjoy the time we spend together determining how to best reflect this on your wedding day. I understand the importance of this day and look forward to talking with you and creating a look that you will love and cherish when you look back at your photos.
PHOTO SHOOTS
I started my career working with brides and have had the privilege to watch
my career expand into the world of print. I have been fortunate to work with
established clothing companies like Billabong as well as up and coming designers
like Lauren-Elaine Designs. I love the various locations my work takes me to and
the adventures I get to embark upon as I meet new people in my industry who are as passionate about their work as I am. Being a makeup artist means I am frequently in new environments and working with all age ranges. Some of my more challenging shoots have involved children; fortunately, I have been able to call upon my teaching experience in helping me get a five-year-old to sit still for hair AND makeup! I love what I do and it is especially exciting to see my work make it into print.
