Sophia has been singing professionally for 9 years. After having extended,private vocal training for many years, she was offered a scholarship from BERKLEE COLLEGE OF MUSIC,where she went to continue her musical education,majoring in PERFORMANCE. Her studies focused on vocal performance in jazz , blues and pop as well as Vocal Pedagogy, being a voice teacher. She finished her studies top of her class ,earning her place in the Dean s list.

Her musical influences have been Sarah Vaughan,Diane Schuur,Nancy Wilson,Eva Cassidy ,to name a few.

During her career,Sophia performed at numerous jazz clubs,piano bars,music halls,beach resorts,with her own band and trio,sang backround vocals in many recording albums and also gave performances at vocal competitions.

In the year 2001,she took part in the European Vocal Competition "SARANDEV" where she was awarded with the 1ST prize. It was the first time she sang in a vocal competition. In 2002 she entered the "DISCOVERY" international competition where she was awarded with the 2nd prize.

Sophia also released her personal solo album" Trip to a dream" in 2002,in which she wrote and composed her own songs. She is considered to be one of a few,most promising vocalists,with a deluxe,velvet voice, who already has conquered outstanding musical achievements.
