Super Bowl, Super Love |
My name is Maureen Smith and I am 22 years old. I met my soon to be husband at a grocery store(where he was working) after talking to him for only a few short months on the famous website "myspace". We met on Superbowl Sunday. I have a son who is 3 years old and an incredible amount of bills to pay. I work full time, go to school full time, and somehow still find time for my family. My husband to be is only 19 years old but is so incredible to my family and I. He takes such good care of my son and loves my mom to death. We are both criminal justice majors and hope to both become officers in the near future. Unforunately there have been a lot of obstacles that we have not yet surpassed in our relationship. His mother refuses to speak to him because he's with me, and well I was once again diagnosed with lupus just a few short months ago. This is the 2nd time in my life that I have had this but do not have the money nor the insurance to pay for my medications. We want to have this incredible wedding because we are both so in love with eachother but don't have the money. He barely makes over minimum wage and I just started a new job not making that much money either. We have changed our wedding date 3 times and still have yet to know we can afford to have our wedding when we want to or not. We both may be young but we know we are supposed to be together for the rest of our lives. We truly want to get married so he can adopt my son and call him his own, but again we don't have the money to do so. Please give us a chance for this spectacular wedding. We have been through so many ups and downs in our relationship already we believe we really deserve something like this. My son would be the one to get more out of this than either of us but just to know shortly after we get married that my son will be adopted and have a father in his life would be enough satisfaction for both of us.
